I had scheudled a virtual design meeting a few weeks ago. That way the second the bid plan was finalized, I could meet with them and not waste any time. Drexel’s Virtual Design Team is out of New Berlin, but the beauty is that they do it all virtually. They sent over a spreadsheet ahead of time where I was supposed to put any and all inspo. It’s not letting me link a Google Sheet here, but I sent them my Pinterest pages too (below).

I was really, really glad I had some sort of idea on the siding, doors, windows, etc that I went through with Holden and John last week. I wish I would have met with Cabinetry and Flooring before this meeting. I wasn’t sure what I wanted and also had no idea on price point. The Virtual Design Team did have recommendations based on my budget and Pinterest boards, so they’re going to start with that.

The meeting was about an hour. You guys… THIS WAS SO HELPFUL AND ALREADY HAS TAKEN SO MUCH PRESSURE OFF OF SELECTIONS. After we went through each room and what I liked/ wanted, they had ideas too. You can do a few rooms, just exterior, just interior, whatever you want or need, really. I’m doing all of it. I was quoted about 15 hours ($100 per hour). Here’s the thing, $1,500 right now is nothing compared to having to remodel in 2 years because you hate your selections. So long story short, maybe it’s just a remodel of one room – they can show you what it looks like before you drop the dough.

I attached some screenshots of the meeting so you can get a feel for the set up. Please enjoy the faces of someone who has no idea what’s going on. Virtual Design can show you sooo much (conceptually of course)- from different siding to what color paint goes best with your cabinets to what stool to put on your island. I was telling them about a porch swing that I have in my Amazon cart, and they said I should send it to them to show what it could look like on my front porch. COOL STUFF.

There is a two week lead time, and then I will have my virtual renderings and videos to share!!!!!!
