SELECTION PROCESS?
April 8, 2024
Although it doesn’t take much, I was confused this week.
It came about that I should maybe have not made preliminary selections before my Virtual Design Consultation. I should have left it up to the Virtual Design Consultants to find products within my budget based on my inspiration photos. After several conversations, here’s what came out of the confusion.
There is no black and white way to do this. I’m living in the gray area. The process can go a few different ways.
Once you have your bid plan pretty much finalized, if you want to see what the heck you’re dealing with beforehand, you can ask for help and to see different materials before VD. This is rare, but Drexel will accomodate. Another option is when the bid plan is complete, you meet with VD, and then make selections based on the rendering.
I was under the impression I maybe did this in the wrongs steps, however, I wouldn’t go back and not make preliminary selections. I know there’s quite a few people who would disagree, but in my case, that’s what I felt most comfortable doing.
With the bid plan complete, offsite, plumbing, excavating, and all of that info was sent out by John. We’ll wait to hear back and keep er moving.
