In case you didn’t hear, the housing market sucks right now – for lack of better terms. I was looking at buying a duplex or even building a small house last year. I met with the bank, got preapproved, and started the process of potentially building a home.

Turns out you need to put 30% down for new construction. I did not know that. I walked through a few houses, but just wasn’t willing to pay over asking – especially being a single income homegirl with a four legged, furry freeloader*. So we are building a house in partnership with Drexel and Joel*.
